Top 2 Best Credit Card for Ewallet in Malaysia

Which is the best credit card for ewallet? With the proliferation of ewallet in Malaysia, users are now spoilt for choice between wallets like Boost, TnG, GrabPay, and more.

Then comes the tough question of which credit card to use to topup your ewallet.

I would say, it really depends on what you are looking for. Do you want cashback, or points?

I think its safe to say that the average credit card users in Malaysia love cashback. Check out my other post on best cashback credit card Malaysia.

Best Credit Card for Ewallet

My definition of “best” might be different from yours, so take it with a pinch of salt.

For me, the criteria I look for when considering a good cashback credit cards are:

  • No annual fee
  • No spending limit
  • No category limit
  • High cashback rate

After comparing all others, I still think Public Bank Quantum Mastercard is the best credit card for ewallet. Public Bank Quantum Mastercard gives 5% for online transactions. Topping up your ewallet should be considered an online transaction, so by topping up RM600, you can already get RM30 in cashback monthly.

As of the time of writing this, these benefits are still valid. Check out more on Public Bank Quantum Cards here.

I’ve also read somewhere on an online forum that teaches one how to double-dip by reloading your BigPay card with the Quantum Mastercard. Not only you get cashback from the Quantum card, you get points from BigPay when you spend. Some even go as far as reloading the BigPay then withdrawing it as cash, just to get the RM30 cashback. I haven’t tested this personally, so don’t blame me if it doesn’t work ya. Haha!

The second option is the Affin Duo – specifically the AFFIN Visa Cash Back. It gives you 3% cash back on e-Commerce and online transactions, eWallet and reload transactions as well as auto-billing. Cash back is capped at RM80 monthly. I have this card as my backup when I finish up my RM600 online and reload quota for my Public Bank Quantum Mastercard.

Anyway, let me know if you found other better offer for credit cards for ewallet top-up. Would be happy to share with my readers.

Any source that can link to? I know for TnG ewallet reload, there’s no cash back if you saved the card details.

I’ve been topping up GrabPay and have been getting cashback with no issue.

Yes, if you saved the card in your tng e-wallet, it considered as auto-debit, therefore you won’t get cashback. Advised to delete your card from your e-wallet, and reload it by generate TAC code, it should be fine.
